Social Justice

Social Justice is at the heart of our community

Social Justice is a central Jewish value and one that many in the PSJC community actively work to address.  Our Rodfei Tzedek (Seekers of Justice) Committee sponsors many projects supporting immigrant rights, food pantries and many other activities.  PSJC also sponsors community-wide events, such as MLK Day of Service and the annual Hebrew School Tzedakah Fair, and in 2020 we held a series of conversations about Anti-Racism and a "Civic Sunday" in which we considered the ways that we could impact social justice as a community.

Please click the link below for letters to the PSJC community from Rabbi Carter about the Black Lives Matter movement and this challenging moment in our country's history.  For those who wish to have signs with Jewish justice text at rallies and other events, follow the link below the letters' link for copy.
