Efrat Yerday is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Tel Aviv University, teacher, activist, entrepreneur and the chairwoman of the Association of Ethiopian Jews.

The Association of Ethiopian Jews (AEJ) is a national Israeli organization that advocates for social change, equal opportunities, civil rights and improved state policies to ensure optimal integration and a better quality of life for Ethiopian Israelis.

Efrat Yerday is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Tel Aviv University, teacher, activist, entrepreneur and the chairwoman of the Association of Ethiopian Jews. She was born in Ashdod and lives in Tel Aviv. She has a Master’s degree in politics and government from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and is now researching the fluidity of citizenship in Israel.
