Learning Doesn't Stop at PSJC With Your Bnai Mitzvah
There are a number of ways for the teens in our community to get involved (or stay connected) to their Jewish heritage! Some are social, some are educational, and some are both! For information on our Youth Group programming for middle and high school students, you can click here.

1st & 3rd Wednesdays | 6:15PM - 8:00PM
Gesher is our brand new program for 8th - 10th graders to continue their learning at PSJC! Students will explore Jewish identity and community through the lens of social justice, through discussion and hands-on projects. Each session begins with dinner and a 'hot topic' question of the day.
Beginning in the eighth grade, PSJC teens are invited to apply for a madrich/a position in our Hebrew School and Shabbat programs. Roles include serving as a classroom assistant, shadowing a student with special needs, assisting with administrative duties, or being on the Tech Team. In addition to their hours in the classroom, our madrichim are encouraged to attend sessions throughout the year that will further their own Jewish learning, as well as to develop their skills in the classroom.
Selected Shabbatot | 11:00AM
Teen Torah is our teen discussion group on Shabbat mornings. Each session is facilitated by a member of our Teen Torah Team, which includes long-time congregation members, teen educators, camp professionals, youth group staff, and our Shinshinim from Israel. The topics range from the weekly parsha to hot topics of the day.
Rehearsals are Sundays, 2:30PM - 4:30PM at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Place.
The Ivry Prozdor High School is the largest supplementary high school program in New York City. Hosted at the Jewish Theological Seminary in Manhattan, the program has courses in Hebrew language, Beit Midrash style learning, and experiential programming. For more information, visit their website.
