mLK Day of Service 2017 at PSJC

Sunday, January 14 | 11:00AM
PSJC's Annual MLK Day of Service is gearing up for another year of soup kits, snack kits, knitting, cooking (on and off-site), shul-beautification and more. Perfect for PSJCers of all ages, we promise plenty of activities to benefit the community and organizations beyond PSJC, like the Brooklyn Family Justice Center, Brooklyn Legal Aid, God's Love We Deliver, HIAS, Methodist Hospital and soup kitchens CHIPS and MASBIA. MLK planners also warmly welcome extra hands in the weeks before the event -- we need your help to make MLK Day great! Contact Helen Zelon for details or to join our planning meeting on Sunday, November 19 -- and thanks in advance for working hard for a better world.

Sunday, January 17 | 10:00AM
At PSJC we have a tradition of a community wide day of service. We provide opportunities within our walls and at agencies within the Brooklyn community.

We have a few things we do every year that include: making meals to put in the freezer for PSJC members in need, creation of Just Add Water soup kits to be given to food pantries, children's book collection for the Brooklyn Justice Center, a knitting circle that makes blankets for people in need, snack packs for the Brooklyn Justice Center, Food drive for CAMBA and clothing drive for a local shelter.

For more information email Helen.
