2017 - 2018 PSJC Membership Form

Please read below for updated information on tuition, schedules, and add-on options. When you are ready to register, use the links above to sign-up as a returning family or new family to PSJC Hebrew School. For more information on our curriculum, Havurat Shabbat option, or Shaarei Mitzvah program, please visit the general Hebrew School page.

Please note, returning families MUST BE LOGGED INTO SHULCLOUD in order to complete your registration. Once you have begun to fill out your registration form, there is no way to save it and return. If you would prefer to register for PSJC Hebrew School via a paper form, please contact  Aileen and we will make arrangements. If you have an technical problems with ShulCloud, do not hesitate to be in touch with Aileen or  Marsha in the office. PSJC Hebrew School believes that finances should never be an obstacle for Jewish Learning. If your family needs financial assistance or special payment arrangements, please be in touch with the PSJC treasurer directly at

The Hebrew School calendar will be set this summer and sent to families before the start of the school year. PSJC Hebrew School will run in 2017-2018 from early September through the end of May.

Students are encouraged to attend services a minimum of 8 times during the year, including mini-Minyan on Shabbat morning, Shabbat Kulanu, and holidays.

2nd Grade

We encourage you to join our community, but do not require membership for enrollment until 2nd grade.

3rd – 6th Grade

Participation in Shaarei Mitzvah Shabbat events

Students are required to attend the main Shabbat service a minimum of 20 times prior to their bnai mitzvah in 6th/7th grade.

All Shaarei Mitzvah trip expenses are included in tuition and bnai mitzvah fees with the exception of MTA travel.

**All students arriving prior to 3:45PM MUST BE REGISTERED for Early Arrival unless they are with a caregiver. This is for the safety and security of all of our students.

*We can only guarantee school pick-up if five or more students from a school register for a given day. If there are five or more students from another school on a particular day we may be able to arrange pick-up depending on staff availability. Please register for this ASAP to provide accurate numbers.

Late Pick-Up

We know that sometimes the trains do not cooperate or traffic is bad or you were stuck in a meeting. Do not worry! A teacher will always remain until the last child is picked up. If parents regularly arrive later than the 6:10PM grace period, we will add a $10 charge to your account to pay for the extra staffing.


New this year, parents may register their children for a 6:30PM pick-up for a one-time charge of $300 for the year.

*Siblings receive $50 discount on these costs, with the exception of Late-Pick Up which is a $300 flat rate

Returning Families

Administrative Fee Deadline

September 5, 2017

Following the above dates, families will be charged a late fee ($50 for new families and $100 for returning families). Any registration received after September 5th will be charged an additional $75 administrative fee.

Payment Plan

There are three basic payment plan options for Hebrew School registration:


Pay tuition in full

Submit payment by June 30, 2016 for the early bird discount - $50 off total 


12-month payment plan by credit card from July 2016 – June 2017 (3% service charge)


Payment plan by check with the following payment schedule:

   50% Tuition                September 15, 2017

   25% Tuition                November 15, 2017 

   25% Tuition                January 15, 2018


All other payment arrangements must be coordinated with the office and/or PSJC treasurer. Please help us save administrative costs by paying promptly. For returning families and students in 2nd grade and up, a reminder that membership in the PSJC community is required. Please make sure you have completed your membership renewal and set-up membership payments prior to the start of the Hebrew School year.
