Do you celebrate Shabbat at home? What holiday and family traditions do you have (Jewish or not!) that your kids look forward to? What excites you the most about Jewish learning at PSJC?

All official Hebrew School and PSJC programs follow our community's policy on Shabbat practice and kosher and/or vegetarian food. Please fill out this section to help facilitate inclusive class events outside the building.

In order to help every child succeed at PSJC Hebrew School, we want to know more about him/her. Please provide us with information regarding your child's learning needs. This can include any information related to an IEP or learning profile they have for their regular class, and/or observations you have made as a parent. The more information we have, the better we can be partners in your child's Jewish education. Please also email Aileen directly if you would like to set-up a meeting with her and/or a member of the inclusion committee to talk about accommodations for your child and the best program/schedule for his/her success.

It will not be possible if fewer than 5 students enroll per school per day of the week. See below for schools other than PS 10 and PS 107

Please note that parents regularly arriving after 6:10PM will be charged a $10 late fee to cover additional staffing charges. 

If your child attends a school other than PS 10 and PS 107 and you would be interested in a school pick-up option and/or coordinating a walkpool with other families, please enter the name of the school here. We can only coordinate school pick-up if there are more than 5 children per day of the week per school.

FAMILY PARTICIPATION

The PSJC Hebrew School can only function with help from our parents and it is expected that every family will volunteer in some way during the school year. Please select all areas of volunteering that you are interested in.  You will be contacted by Aileen or a member of the Hebrew School Committee in the Fall. We ask our parents and students to make a commitment to being our partners in creating a positive learning environment at PSJC. Please read the following sections and sign your agreement to the following. A copy of the family brit (covenant) and handbook will be provided at the beginning of the school year.



Please note, if your child(ren) has a prescription for emergency epi-pen and/or Benadryl in case of an allergic reaction, you must provide separate written permission for PSJC employees to treat your child.  Please place the letter with the epi-pen/Benadryl in a bag with your child's first and last name clearly labeled.

Students in grades 6 and up are able to leave PSJC on their own. For independent release for students below grade 6, please contact Aileen to submit a written permission letter for the school files.

Please list the names of any family members or friends who are approved to pick up your child(ren). Pick-up by anyone else will need to be communicated by phone or email.

PSJC MEMBERSHIP

We encourage all Hebrew School families to make a commitment to the PSJC Community and require membership for returning families, as well as new families in 3rd grade and above. Returning Shorashim families are encouraged to join, but not required.

I understand that if my child(ren) is enrolling at PSJC Hebrew School in his/her second year, my family has a commitment to membership in the PSJC Community. By checking this box I agree to a $18 placeholder charge on my account towards 2018-2019 membership. If our family is new to the PSJC community, I recognize that I also need to complete a membership form in addition to Hebrew School registration. 

You will be charged a LATE FEE, if you are a RETURNING family that is registering AFTER June 22nd or a NEW family that is registering AFTER August 27th. Any familiy registering AFTER September 5th will be charged a $75 administrative fee.

Please consider donating to the Hebrew School Fund to help us support families who are unable to pay the full tuition costs and to enrich the Jewish lives of our students.

At PSJC we do not believe that finances should be an obstacle to Jewish learning. Please select this box if you are applying for a scholarship or financial assistance at PSJC Hebrew School. The PSJC Treasurer will be in touch with your family.
