This program, specifically for 9th through 11th grade students and families, will discuss the roadmap that students should follow in order to have an informed, empowered, and much less stressful college exploration and admissions process.
For 10 years, Dana Ponsky has worked closely with students and their families to guide and support them through the college admissions process in the school setting and now as an independent educational consultant. Dana served as a director of college counseling in Jewish day schools in Miami, Florida and Washington, D.C. and most recently, led the development of a new, comprehensive career services office in a Brooklyn high school to help students understand the importance of career development in the college admissions and decision-making process. Prior to her work as a college counselor, Dana served as a university administrator at the University of Miami, University of Michigan, and Barry University in various roles including director of orientation, first-year student programming and retention, and developed and taught college readiness courses at the high school and university-level.
