Cemetery Committee
Cemetery Committee
The Cemetery Committee oversees gravesites in various cemeteries in the New York area available for purchase by our members. The Committee offers a simple funeral plan through a cooperating local funeral home and works with our Rabbi and our Hevra Kadisha to educate PSJC members about Jewish end-of-life values and planning issues.
For additional information, contact the PSJC office at 718.768.1453 or the Cemetery Committee.
Funeral Plan
PSJC offers its members the opportunity to participate in a simple Jewish funeral plan, currently in cooperation with Shomrei HaChomos Chapels in nearby Borough Park. Those who elect to participate in this plan will be able, with one telephone call, to arrange for a traditional Jewish Funeral. Our Hevra Kadisha will assist in any way that it can.
For more information, see our simple funeral plan, and frequently asked questions about the plan.
Cemeteries
PSJC holds rights to numerous gravesites at New Mount Carmel Cemetery and Beth David Cemetery.
Graves are available at $900 each to PSJC members in good standing and their immediate families.
Please see "Next Steps" for further information
Use of the graves is subject to restrictions required by the cemeteries (for example, only those of the Jewish faith may be buried in the cemeteries).

Hanukkah Enhanced Security Fund
PSJC’s Trustees have created a security enhancement fund and this Hanukkah, we are asking you, our members and friends, to donate to this fund and help multiply the Board’s initial contribution to this critically important initiative. As you bring the light of Hanukkah into your homes and our community, we hope that you will contribute to our collective security at whatever level is possible for you. Donate here!
